What is sourdough, anyway?

Sourdough is naturally leavened bread, meaning no additional leavening agent or commercial yeast is added. In its simplest form, sourdough consists of fermented dough (flour, salt, and water) in which naturally occurring yeast cultures ensures a good rise.

 

What started as a pandemic project grew into a passion.
